Take time to write a kind note

Laura and I joined together (once again) on an organizing project for a client. We organized specific portions of her home. It is always amazing to us how quickly a home can be transformed when a few like minds and hands come together to facilitate “forever change”.

I received a note from our client today and once again realized that a few minutes spent in writing a kind note is greatly appreciated. Here are a few lines from her note: “Thank you for motivating me and helping me to clean and organize my home. You have such great ideas and solutions. I have been putting that job off for so long and now it looks so great! Best of all – It’s still clean!” With gratitude, J

Are YOU one of your Priorities?

Do you have a daily to-do list? Do you find that at times you forget to add yourself to that list? Do you feel a little frustrated by all that you are doing for others and that your “me time” gets lost in your busy life? Here is Vicki’s suggestion as she detailed in one of her newspaper articles.

Make 3 lists of 3 each day and make sure YOU are one of the top things that you will make sure gets done. We believe that in order for us to continue to give, we must take care of ourselves. Now, continue forward and feel better about the giving you do each day!

Organized Freedom – What does it mean to you?

This Independence Day ask yourself, as I am, what does my freedom mean to me? What am I doing to promote freedom, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness?

If it is hard for you to quickly come up with an answer, 2009 may be the year for you to move outside yourself and your immediate concerns. A few ideas:

Organize a neighborhood gathering and talk with others about what your neighborhood can do to promote freedom and liberty.
Get involved with a local political candidate whose ideas mirror yours.
Put a note on your neighbors doors now to instruct them how to easily register to vote including the online URL address where they can register, then come election time another quarter page note reminding them to vote and the address where they can do so.

Organize yourself and become involved. Pursue greater happiness by making a difference for yourself and others.
